Plant breeding in horticultural field crop production

The project in brief

The project is expected to identify crops with a large potential for product development and commercialisation, as well as to show the potential in Nordic collaboration on variety testing and breeding initiatives.

The project will also identify quality properties found in Swedish production of horticultural field crops, which contribute to increased added value in the form of taste, storage properties, perception of a Swedish variety, resilience to diseases/pests, nutritional content, etc.
