Last changed: 14 September 2023

The sample prep lab is situated at the field station at Röbäcksdalen. It includes a sample preparation room, drying cabinets and a milling room.

In the field station's office building there is also a larger laboratory for handling of plant and soil samples. The laboratory has tables for sample handling, botanical analysis, etc., a wet area for e.g. washing of roots, and several large drying cabinets. There is a cool room (+5 C), for temporary storage of samples and a freezer (-20 C)

Adjoining the lab there is a well equipped milling room with the possibility to grind samples to wide range of particle sizes. For smal sample preparation there are two mills here, a ball mill and a cyclo tech cyclone mill. There is also special equipment for miling samples that will be analysed for metals.

Both the sample prep lab and the milling room is part of SITES and is open for all researchers to use. Contact the responsibel person for more information and for booking of space.
