BioHub

Last changed: 20 August 2020

In BioHub we aim to improve the value gained from forest biomass and to better serve the industry in this transition phase. The project will launch new business models for terminals to direct material flows from forest to industries.

Terminals enable improved value gained from forest biomass by having more functions than just sorting and storing. Biomass can for example be debarked, crushed and compacted to suit end user requirements better and to further improve storage and transportation properties of the feed stock industrial pre-treatments like torrefaction or carbonization can be used.
