Call for papers and abstract submission

Last changed: 09 January 2020

We invite researchers from disciplines such as policy analysis, ecology, economics, forest (ecosystem) management and conservation to submit suggestions for paper presentations to this interdisciplinary conference on integrated forest management approaches and ecosystem services.

Thank you for your contribution of abstracts. Due to the high number of abstracts submitted, we have to postpone our notification of acceptance to early November.

Themes and contributions

The conference invites contributions (conference papers or posters) on the following major questions:

  • How are trade-offs and synergies between different forest ecosystem services perceived, governed and managed across Europe and beyond?
  • What concepts exist for “integrated forest management”, what drives them (policy/market/environmental change, social demands), including their implementation in practice, and what are their prospects for the future?
  • What do we know about the impact of such management concepts for ecological structures and interactions in forests, and how are these linked to specific “outcomes” (biodiversity, ecosystem services)?

 Abtract submission instructions

We are looking for abstracts for oral presentations/conference paper and posters for speed talk presentations.  Abstracts should not exceed 350 words and written in English.

For abstract submission please study the instructions below.

Selected contribution will be included in an abstract book and the presentations and posters could be upload to the conference website.
