A forest landscape in various shades of grey

The Scandinavian Society of Forest Economics (SSFE) biennial meeting in 2022 will take place November 29 - December 2, 2022 in the city of Umeå in the Swedish county of Västerbotten. Umeå was founded in 1622 and celebrate "400 years of fuss" this year.

Why fuss? Well the focus is on the people of Umeå: "It's in our thoughts, dreams, and visions for the future. It is our 131 456 different opinions about exactly everything. The mixture of heart and brain, pro or against, over here or over there. It is our fuss, our debates, and our social media posts."

We will invite abstracts for papers via email, more information below.

Conference fee incl. all meals, and in-conference field trip. The fee is ca. 2500 SEK (ca. 240 €). Housing will be pre-booked, and the cost of single rooms are ca. 1200 SEK (ca. 113 €) per night. Hotel reservations will be made by the participants.

We will be able to offer modest financial support towards conference fee to Ph.D. students presenting papers thanks to the financial support by the SNS & ForBioeconomy grant.
