The department's clinical and comparative research aims at improving the knowledge about animal diseases and health, both for individual animals and populations of animals. Furthermore, the impact of animals and their diseases on human health and welfare is studied, as well as animal models for human diseases. Research is performed on several species including horses, ruminants, pigs, dogs, cats and rodents.
