An adult water buffalo is surprisingly resistant to cold, despite its inferior hair or wool. It is held today in several countries such as Canada, Germany, Romania, etc., in uninsulated loose housing which means they are able to live in very cold and harsh conditions.

At Ängsholmen they manufacture Swedish Buffalo mozzarella from their own water buffalo.
