SLU is a member university in the ACCESS platform, that aims to facilitate and deepen the academic relations between Chile and Sweden as well as to enable researchers, staff and students to become more connected to each other.

For this purpose, Universidad de Chile, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Lund University and Uppsala University have decided to create research seminars in Chile and Sweden.

In order to contribute to research excellence, long-term collaborations and increased academic mobility between the two countries, ten research areas were identified for the first seminar as common challenges for both countries. These challenges were the starting point of the discussions in separate seminars, followed by a general interdisciplinary discussion.

ACCESS organizes yearly research forums and the primary activity is the seminars where academic discussions on mutual challenges are held between researchers from Chile and Sweden. The forums have proven successful as drivers for new and innovative research projects between Chile and Sweden.

ACCESS is therefore pleased to announce that the third Academic Forum is jointly hosted by Stockholm University, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences and Uppsala University. The forum will take place in Uppsala and Stockholm 8-12 June 2020.
