Young academics in international organisations

Sida offers employment as Junior Professional Officer (JPO) (in Swedish). The JPO programme provides young graduates the opportunity to work within international organisations located in a number of UN organisations, the World Bank and other international global organisations. Sida has around 45 JPOs with about 30 percent working at Sida’s headquarters and 70 percent stationed at various field offices around the world. Applicants cannot be older than 32 years at the time of applying and must have at least two years of relevant working experience (international work is an advantage). In addition to English having knowledge of another UN language (French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese or Russian) is highly advantageous.
