The natural ponds at Hyttön can be used for experiments by both SLU and external scientists.

The field station at Hyttön is located 10 km southwest of Älvkarleby, and here we have two natural ponds:

  • a larger pond of 15 ha, created 1936
  • a smaller pond of 5 ha, created 1978
