UAV Workshop

The 17th and 18th of april, the remote sensing laboratory at SLU collaborated with SITES to provide a UAV workshop open to anyone interested in UAVs..

The workshop was mainly directed toward those who had already incorporated them in their work. Nearly 25 people attended on the 17th, a mix between researchers and technical staff at different research stations in SITES. The first day was mainly dedicated to theory and began with a presentation of projects where the department of forest resource management have used UAVs, followed by a walkthrough of things to concider while collecting data with UAVs. The afternoon was mainly focused on reference-data and calibration to increase precision during data collection.

The 18th consisted of excersizes performed in Agisoft Photoscan and took place in the remote sensing laboratory, 13 people attended.
