Bevarande av trädgårdar, parker och gestaltade landskap

Kursen ger en introduktion till vård och underhåll av trädgårdar och andra gestaltade landskap i teori och praktik. Föreläsningar och seminarier ger en överblick över fältet och möjligheter att diskutera och pröva olika infallsvinklar på kunskapsområdet med tonvikt på restaureringsideologi, -historia och -principer för grön kulturmiljövård liksom områdets begrepp och diskurs. Kursen ger också övning i att med systematisk värdering och målsättningsdiskussion upprätta en vårdplan. Under kursen kommer vi att studera och diskutera olika typer av historiska anläggningar, i föreläsningar och seminarier såväl som studiebesök och en exkursion. Att skriva ett individuellt arbete i form av en akademisk uppsats går som en röd tråd genom hela kursen och förutsätter erfarenhet av akademiskt skrivande. Arbetet innehåller en forskningsuppgift i kartläggning av en utvald anläggnings historia genom egen källforskning och inventering/fältstudier samt upprättande av ett förslag till vårdprogram.


Schemalagda exkursioner, studiebesök och litteraturseminarier är obligatoriska.
