Stated preferences (SP) metoder I
The course uses a practical approach to econometric choice models using R. The participants will learn to build standard econoemtric choice models used both in contingent valuation and in choice experiments. We will also introduce extensions of the basic models, that will be covered in more detail in part II.

The course is specifically aimed at PhD students within the field of economics. Knowledge in microeconomics and mathematics is assumed. Knowledge of modelling languages is not required. Good knowledge in English is vital to be able to follow the course.Mål
The course will introduce basic tools for the econometric modelling in SP. By the end of the course the participants will have acquired detailed knowledge of and extensive hands-on experience in: the welfare economics of SP models, - an introduction to RUM - a short introduction to Maximum likelihood, - estimating a basic choice model, - computing welfare measures, - computing measures of accuracyInnehåll

The Department reserves the right to cancel the course if there are not more than 5 students who have applied for the course. There is no tuition fee.
