Call for Applications
The Value Chain Research Group at the Department of Economics at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) organizes a NOVA PhD Summer School in Empirical Industrial Organization. This Summer School is one of a series of independent workshops that cover the main fields of the empirics of organizations and transaction costs. This PhD School will take place August 17 to 21, 2015, in Uppsala, Sweden.

Course fee
The Summer School on The Empirics of Economic Organizations and Transaction Costs seeks to promote the exchange and dissemination of state of the art quantitative research in Industrial Organization with application to the agri-food sector. We invite applications from promising young scholars in the field.
The course is free for NOVA University Network students; 200 euros for BOVA University Network students and 300 euros for all the other students.
To register for the course, the course fees should be paid by 28 April 2015. A refund of 50% of the fees is possible for candidates who withdraw their applications before 1 June 2015 (by written notification to jun.zhou.econ@gmail.com). Refunds are not possible for notification of withdraw that postdates 1 June 2015.

The course has 3 ECTs.
Practical matters
The workshop will take place on August 17-21, 2015 in Uppsala, Sweden.
The deadline for application is February 15, 2015. To be considered, please send your CV and description of research interest to jun.zhou.econ@gmail.com. Decisions will be notified by February 28. Detailed program will be announced by March 31.
Students from NOVA institutions will have some available funds to cover participants’ accommodation and travel expenses.
